The Brief
To Landscape the side walk in front of a 52 story office block.

The Concept
To find the biggest and tallest palms to plant in the side walk to rendor a human scale between the side walk and the building.

The Challenge
To excavate the 12 holes 3m x 3m and 2m deep and to avoid fibre optic cables and 11 KVA electrical cable supplying the CBD with electricity.

The Implementation
The transporting of the palms on lowbeds had to be conducted with teutonic efficiency and planted on the weekend with the main road closed except for 1 lane which was kept open.

Timing
Sourcing of palms took 4 months, excavation and preperation of palms took 2 weeks and planting took a further 2 days with cranes and staff of 30 gardeners.
